I began my training with Birkbeck and then went on to study a Diploma in Gestalt Counselling with the London Gestalt Centre (a BACP accredited course). I have worked with men and women and worked with a variety of issues such as family dynamics, difficult relationships, depression, anxiety, suicidal ideation, work place harassment and I have supported clients in recovery from eating disorders.
I have a background in performing arts and in publishing, so I understand the problems faced by creatives. That said I am happy to work with people from all walks of life.
I am available for therapy sessions via Zoom during the pandemic.
Counselling sessions are fifty minutes long and require a weekly commitment to attend. The session will be at the same time and place each week wherever possible. I initially suggest to new clients that we work together for twelve weeks.
Sessions are confidential but I may discuss issues with my supervisor from time-to-time in order to serve my clients to the best of my ability. This is a requirement of the BACP (British Association of Counselling Practitioners) of which I am a member. The client’s anonymity is protected in supervision.
